Their debut recording, duende entendre, was released in August 2011 on the Kreating SounD label. The same month, they recorded their second album, The Next Step, which was issued in September 2012 by Kreating SounD. Their album of live performance recordings titled, Phrases Like Mazes, was released in mid-2016 following their performance tour of the southwestern United States. Their third studio album, Unfound Doors, was released in December 2017 by Kreating SounD.
SAM WEST is a bassist, poet, composer, and vocalist residing in Nashville, Tennessee. He has toured nationally and internationally on upright and electric bass, from the east to the west coasts of the U.S. to as far as Ireland and the Middle East. At present, West can be found in the bass chair with some of Nashville's finest talent including Scott Simontacchi, Victoria Ghost (Ashly and Shannon Campbell, children of country legend Glen Campbell), the Nashville Gun Show, and his own Sam West Trio. He is an active songwriter with a BA in Commercial Songwriting from MTSU, and continues building a steadfast repertoire of original material. As a poet, West evokes a stream of consciousness style tied to a rhythmic pulse. RON COULTER is Instructor of Percussion, Improvisation, and World Music at Casper College. He has performed internationally with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Linux Laptop Orchestra, Chicago Chamber Orchestra, Tatsuya Nakatani, Michael Zerang, James Falzone, Chris Corsano, Eric Mandat, Gino Robair, William O. Smith, Sean Jones, Sandy Duncan, Improvisation Unit, Bolokada Condé, Youngstown Percussion Collective, and Music from China, among others. He is co-founder of the Percussion Art Ensemble, Marble Hammer, and Drm&Gtr, and artistic director of the Southern Illinois Improvisation Series and Wyoming Experimental Sound Series. Additional interests include noise, intermedia, interdisciplinary collaboration, and organizing Fluxconcerts. As a composer, Ron has composed more than 300 works for various media.
